The central character encounters scary spirits which resemble black clouds with menacing eyes. If these collide with the boy, he flinches and flashes before eventually fainting. He can, however, fight back with his baseball bat, striking the spirits and causing them to disappear. Later in the game, dead crow-like characters are shown on the ground after a brief scene in which they swing swords at each other but are not depicted actually fighting. A mini game can be played on the family tv, featuring pixelated ninja characters throwing stars at each other while collecting treasure. Again, these simply flash and disappear when hit.

There are references to drinking alcohol and smoking, as well as background sight of smoking, although this is not prominent.
