Rating issues

Magic, which is manifested through eight powerful sigils – like fire and ice, is used as the single form of weaponry to kill human enemies and demonic creatures.

The fire sigil will set characters alight they do not however, run around screaming but fall to the floor. On inspection it is apparent that there is no burnt clothing or flesh although the character’s entire body has taken on a much darker hue. If the fire sigil is used at its most powerful effect, which is achieved by holding down the appropriate controller button, the character hit will explode, this is masked by flashes of coloured light, when this eventually dissipates the bones of the character will be seen on the ground.

There is the occasional use of the sexual expletive ‘fuck’

Other issues

The cut scene that follows the selection of the male character is comprised of static images, these show the male character’s wife being restrained by Captain Rogiro, the next image shows the knife being held at her throat and the one after shows the knife being drawn across the throat resulting in a heavy flow of blood. The transition of the knife and the flow of blood are the only active movements throughout the whole scene. As the character is represented as a static image, and does not display any reaction, the violence it is regarded as unrealistic.
