Gameplay consists of avoiding environmental hazards and shooting your blaster at enemies. Further special abilities can be obtained from bosses at the end of boss fights. Enemies flash when hit and explode when defeated. When the central character is hit, she barely reacts with simple ‘hit’ animation. When she runs out of health, or when she falls victim to an environmental hazard such as spikes or lava, she simply disperses into blue balls of energy before coming back.
