Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the surface, and amidst the poisoned skies above. But the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.

Rating issues

The game features the frequent use of sexual expletives, occasional strong violence perpetrated against defenceless and / or vulnerable characters and the occasional threat of sexual violence.

Other issues

Sexual violence, although not visually depicted onscreen, is nonetheless imparted through a commentary provided by one soldier as he apparently commits a rape. The female victim screams and pleads to be set free in an extremely anguished voice, the soldier and colleagues make remarks such as “bitch spread them legs”, “you do her first.
