The game features turn based combat in which the effectiveness of a character’s ability to kill another character is related to its skill level, the type of weapon and its category. The weapons in use are medieval in origin. In the early stages of the game it takes a great many strikes to kill either a human / animal or fantasy character. As the game progresses and the player’s character(s) improve their overall standing, their corresponding skill levels allows them to kill a character somewhat more quickly, thus making the violence realistic. Although there is a lack of blood fx when a character is hit, its reaction to the violence is nonetheless realistic. On occasions there are scenes in which, as part of the environment, there are dead human characters. Those killed by the player disappear after a few seconds.
