The game features frequent non-realistic violence against human characters. As the characters slash at each other with samurai swords, they will flinch, fall backwards or change colour, all of which is accompanied by bright flashes. On particularly hard strikes, enemies will throw their heads backwards as an exaggerated red blood effect sprays from their neck. Despite this, the characters will then carry on as normal, without any lasting or visible injury. They fall to their knees and disappear when defeated.
