The player must avoid various obstacles and hazards, such as lava and spikes, as well as avoiding monsters that suddenly spring out. While there is no combat, failing to avoid obstacles or monsters results in the player’s character bursting into pieces before respawning at the last check point. Additionally, the monsters may be a little disturbing to younger or more sensitive children, as may the dark overall atmosphere.
