This game contains frequent depictions of arcade style violence containing blood and gore. This type of violence can be found in the fighting games ‘Samurai Shodown IV’, ‘Samurai Shodown V’, ‘Samurai Shodown V Special’ and ‘World Heroes Perfect’. All of these games are 2D fighting games in which two characters battle one another. Some of the more powerful attacks, especially those performed with sharp melee weapons cause large amounts of blood to appear on impact. Characters let out pained cries when they have been attacked and are often stunned for a short period of time. The run and gun games ‘Metal Slug’, ‘Metal Slug 2’ and ‘Metal Slug 3’ also feature arcade violence containing blood and gore. The player shoots at enemy soldiers which causes them to scream in pain and grip at their wounds as blood flows from them. Some of the more powerful weapons such as the rocket launcher and shotgun cause the enemies to explode into various bloody body parts which then fall to the floor and disappear. All the violence is shown from a distance and takes place within a 2D space where the characters can only move left and right.
