The game follows the character Raz, a young boy gifted with psychic abilities. News arrives that the Grand Head of the Psychonauts has been kidnapped. The team fly off in the Psychonauts’ jet to rescue him.
Gameplay boils down to puzzling and using various psychic abilities in a point and click type of fashion.

One of the boss fights features a giant evil puppet. The puppet must be defeated by burning him. The evil puppet is likely to be scary to younger children as well.
