This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. This rating has been given because it features graphic violence.
PC port of the original Resident Evil game (1996) which follows the story of the S.T.A.R.S Team, who have been tasked with looking into a series of cannibalistic homicides on the outskirts of Raccoon City. When the team find themselves trapped in a mansion populated by dangerous mutated creatures, players will have to explore the mansion, solve its mysteries and escape alive.

Rating issues

This game contains depictions of graphic violence to human characters. There are many occasions when the player’s character can be killed in horrific ways such as being torn in half. Due to the retro animation style of the game, the gore is not extremely detailed, but there is still an emphasis on the horrific nature of the violence and the pain it causes.

Other issues

There are intense and sustained horror sequences throughout this game, when the player is being pursued by horrific creatures. There is also frequent sight of dead mutilated bodies, some with bones visible.
