Sakura Wars

This game has been rated PEGI 16 for depictions of realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.
It tells the story of Seijuro Kamiyama who comes to the Grand Imperial Theater for his new assignment: leading the Imperial Combat Troupe. During the lead-up to his first major assignment with the troupe, demon attacks begin occurring around Tokyo. Kamiyama and the rest of the Imperial Combat Revue jump into their mechs to battle these demons.

Rating issues

This game contains infrequent depictions of realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. All of the instances occur during the games cutscenes. One scene depicts a fist fight in which the two girls repeatedly punch one another in the face. The girls grunt in pain and stagger backwards after each hit. While no visible injuries are shown, their reactions are realistic. Another example sees a woman being slashed across the chest with a sword. Blood splatters across her face and clothes before pooling in a puddle by her feet. She screams in pain as she falls to her knees and clutches at her wound.

Other issues

This game contains frequent examples of strong sexual innuendo. There are multiple instances where the player has the option to spy on the female characters whilst they are changing or bathing, however their genitals and nipples are always obscured from view, and the player is often penalized for doing so. There are also numerous conversations which contain sexual themes and innuendo.
