You play as Sachi, a single mother who lives in a small settlement protected from eternal winter by the Sun Tree. Every year the priests make a child sacrifice to the Sun Tree, as thanks for its life-giving salvation and this year it is Sachi’s baby’s turn. Sachi learns the truth behind the sacrifices and goes searching for her son.

Rating issues

Violence consists of Sachi and the other human villagers fighting off monstrous characters in both their village and the underworld. Characters flicker when hit, blood and injuries are not shown as damage is represented via life bars. When these bars are depleted, fallen foes disappear.
