Rating issues

Because the game is played from a first person perspective, violence towards the player’s character is generally depicted by red blood appearing on screen. However, there is some more detailed violence towards other characters, such as a woman being pounced on and dragged away by a monster. There is also a scene in which a woman takes her own life, following a disagreement, by falling from a cliff, although her body is not shown in the aftermath. There are frequent gory images, such as the carcasses of animals exploding.

The game also includes use of strong language (‘fuck’), as well as milder terms including ‘bitch’, ‘bastard’, ‘piss’ and ‘shit’.

There are interactive scenes in which the player can gather plants and fungi which exist in the real world, and which contain psychoactive substances, in order to brew a concoction which affects the player’s sight. Players should be aware that, in real life, the majority of the plants and fungi shown are highly toxic to humans, even in small amounts.

Other issues

There are visual and verbal references to suicide, including a character hanging, and horror scene featuring jump scares.
