The Pangalactic Federation is nearing the fulfilment of its mission to bring peace and order to the galaxy. However, the embers of conflict begin to stir once again six thousand light years from Earth, on the planet of Faykreed. Star Ocean is a Japanese role-playing mix of fantasy and spaceships. It follows swordsman Fidel and his band of merry adventurers as they try to protect Relia.

Rating issues

Gameplay violence is non-realistic looking, when characters die they immediately disappear in a red/black cloud of smoke. There is however the occasional depiction of realistic violence in the cut scenes. This ranges from a character being shot in the back to a character being punched. There are no blood effects.
