The weapons available in the game are in the main swords, axes and magic. Swords and axes inflict the same level of violence, characters respond with grunts, arghs and urghs but very little physical reaction to the violence. After being hit a number of times a character will eventually fall to the floor. The characters killed do not display any wounds or blood, the violence is non-realistic looking. Magic spells can manifest themselves in a number of different attacks, however the severity of the violence can differ slightly, for example when small goblin type characters are enveloped in a purple cloud (created through the use of magic) they are ejected from it as skeletal pieces. There is also the occasional use of the word ‘bastard’.
