Hyperion’s long-standing president, Handsome Jack, has been killed by the most recent Vault Hunter arrivals, and it has been discovered that there are numerous other Vaults scattered throughout the galaxy, leading to a search for more Vault Keys that can open these new Vaults.

Rating issues

The majority of the violence seen in the game is regarded as realistic looking, however there is one instance where the violence is determined to be strong. The eyes of a human character, in suspended animation, are removed with the aid of a spork (a spoon / fork). This is all seen in the 1st / 3rd person view, the removal of the right eye is accompanied by lots of blood effects.
