The Sims 4 Island Living

This game has been rated PEGI 12 for depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters, depictions of realistic violence of a minor nature towards human-like characters, and scenes of strong sexual innuendo. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age.
The Sims 4 Island Living brings the Sims to the islands. The player can either visit the new world Sulani or have their Sims live there in an ocean front house. The player will have the opportunity to join the Conservationist career to help keep Sulani flourishing, or they can select part time careers such as working as a lifeguard, fisherman, etc.

Rating issues

This game features depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human characters. Characters can die in various different ways throughout the game, such as electrocution, drowning or being set on fire, all of the deaths are over exaggerated and non-realistic. A notification that appears at the top of the screen announces the character’s death. This game also features sexual innuendo, Sims can partake in an activity titled “WooHoo” which is the game’s version of sex, two characters will proceed to the bedroom and get under the covers, movement is shown and sounds such as moans can be heard as love hearts and firework effects come off the bed. In this expansion the Sims can now “WooHoo” in a waterfall. Also, in this expansion, characters can walk around naked by the beach. When they do they receive a stat boost called ‘In the Buff. Similarly, to when a character uses the toilet or shower their body is covered by a pixelated box which covers sensitive body parts.
