This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features violence against humans that is not shown but is implied, non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context, mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to human like characters, non-realistic looking violence towards characters which although human are not very detailed and violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures. Not suitable for persons under 7 of age.
Open world survival game set in The Escapists universe, The Survivalists strands the player on a set of desert islands where they need to learn to survive, craft and eventually head to the seas to make their way off the island. The game can be played in single player or with up to 4 players online.

Rating issues

You can hit a character or shoot an arrow at them. Arrows pass right through it and doesn’t have an animation tied to it. The character in question loses some health points. When the health pool is depleted the character disappears and leaves crafting materials in the world (this can be meat, tools, etc).
The player can be damaged by other enemies and weapons, when this occurs a red vignette will display around the screen accompanied with a sound effect to display that the player has been hurt.
If the player is defeated by weapon attacks they will fall to the floor and the screen will fade to black and then the screen will fade back-in to show them getting out of a bed.
