Gameplay features cartoon-like violence that’s similar to the violence found in most 3D Mario games. It’s always directed at fantasy characters and mostly seen from afar. The violence itself is unrealistic and over-the-top, including the use of boomerangs as well as ‘bite attacks’. Reactions to violence are similarly unrealistic. Characters flash when hit, often with comic reactions and with no visible harm. When defeated, enemies vanish in puffs of smoke. The cartoon-like visual style helps to make the violence less disturbing.
