Unearthing Mars is a VR adventure game set on the mysterious Red Planet.
Carrier-class spacecraft Sentra has arrived in Mars orbit, tasked to retrieve remnants of the missing explorer satellite Phobos. What they will uncover instead are the possible vestiges of an ancient civilization.

Rating issues

The game takes you on a VR mission on the planet Mars. In one scene you’re isolated in a cave when you get a number hallucinations. You’re being pressured to leave the area immediately but you don’t comply. In these hallucinations you see an alien silhouette that is stalking you. This scene can be scary to younger children.

The game features a static FPS scene in which you must defeat alien robots with a laser gun and shield. The reaction of the aliens to the violence is unrealistic and must be shot multiple times before they fall apart into pieces.

Other issues

“Damn” is featured twice, but is never used offensively to a character but to describe a stressful situation.
