Battles are played out on a battle map where players send mechs across a grid. Players send units to engage other troops – these battles are then carried out in a split pop-up screen where the attacking side shoots the other, draining the troop’s health bar. During this, the unit flinches. There is no other emphasis on the violence. If a troop is wiped out from the attack (always happens with an explosion), the screen turns back to the battle map and that troop is seen to disappear in an explosion of smoke. This is seen from afar.
