This is a 1st / 3rd person WW1 action game in which the player’s character pilots a WW1 aircraft during a variety of missions against enemy aircraft and ground targets. Combat in the air is in the first person view and consists of either dogfights against aircraft or shooting down enemy observation balloons. You do not actually see any violence towards humans, although it is obvious what is happening. The violence is therefore deemed to be implied.

Attacking ground targets takes place in a fixed 3rd person top down view, and gameplay is very much akin to the arcade style of gameplay , insomuch that movement of the aircraft is restricted to forward, back, left and right. Dependent on the mission parameters the aircraft can bomb or shoot enemy soldiers and other ground targets. Enemy soldiers are small in size but recognisable as human. When shot, there are no blood effects but characters do utter an audible ‘urgh’ and fall to the ground. The violence is non-realistic looking towards human characters.
