Rating issues

The game contains examples of sexual innuendo. On the intro and overview are notes that read “How hard is your worm?” and “Real worms don’t fire blanks”.

Some of the interviews, in the ‘museum’ section, feature use of bad language, including ‘asshole’. While some of the terms are partially bleeped, the words are still clearly identifiable.

Other issues

This game contains depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters. When a worm is hit, they will make a comical noise and move around the landscape or fall into the water. There is no physical change to a worm’s appearance when they are hit. Upon death, worms disappear in a blast of light, and a gravestone is seen in their place. There is a weapon called ‘Samaritan’, in which a human is released, who explodes after a set time. Again, no blood or gore can be seen when they explode.

One of the terrains that the worms battle on features imagery of beer bottles. The player can shoot the bottle to destroy it but cannot interact with it or consume alcohol in any way.

In the ‘museum’ content, there are some images of the worms with cigars in their mouths. Players cannot actually make their characters smoke in any way in this game.
